{"id":3697,"date":"2026-10-08T19:27:55","date_gmt":"2026-10-08T10:27:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/backpackersjapan.co.jp\/kyotohostel\/?p=3697"},"modified":"2026-10-08T19:36:10","modified_gmt":"2026-10-08T10:36:10","slug":"261008-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/backpackersjapan.co.jp\/kyotohostel\/261008-3\/","title":{"rendered":"\u3010Important Notice\u3011 Regarding Suspicious Messages Impersonating Our Facility"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thank you for using \u201cLen Kyoto Kawaramachi\u201d.<br \/>\nAs announced in our notice dated September 22, 2026, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/backpackersjapan.co.jp\/kyotohostel\/260923-3\/\">Important Notice Regarding Unauthorized Access and Suspicious Messages<\/a>\u201d, we have confirmed that some guests with reservations have received suspicious messages via messaging apps such as WhatsApp, asking them to confirm their reservation, re-enter their credit card information, or make an urgent payment.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of the September 22 announcement, the cause of this incident had not been identified. We have now received a report from Temairazu Co., Ltd., the provider of the reservation management system we use, confirming that its system was accessed without authorization by a third party.<\/p>\n<p>Based on that report, we cannot rule out the possibility that some guest information may have been viewed or obtained by a third party.
