As DJ/broadcaster, curator and founder of steadily rising musical movement (monthly party,
concert series, record label and radio show), Touching Bass, Errol is slowly nurturing one of
London’s most respected, grassroots curatorial platforms at a time when gathering people in
the capital has become increasingly difficult.
Heavily influenced by the openness of musical institutions like Plastic People, the TB ‘dance’
has become a playground for musical exploration. And as resident, Errol has cultivated a
DJing style and a space to match; unbounded by genre and lead by feeling instead, where
talented local selectors and heavyweight selectors are equally as likely to grace the decks
and emphasis is firmly placed on good energy, dance and community above all.
In doing so, he has quietly gained props from a host of respected selectors including Theo
Parrish, Gilles Peterson and Alexander Nut, all while regularly filling TB’s South London
home on a monthly basis via nothing more than a regular texting service update.
As a second generation Boiler Room-er, he followed in the footsteps of OGs, Nic Tasker,
Sofie, Bradley Zero and Thristian in bringing a diverse cast of talented folks to digital
screens. Over four years, hosting Mala’s Deep Medi, Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def), Co-Op and
Sun Ra Arkestra, while also providing breakthrough introductions to the likes of Anderson
Paak, Donna Leake, Nu Guinea, Principe Discos, Khruangbin, much of the now-global UK
jazz scene (including Yussef Kamaal’s first ever gig) and more.
Linking it all together is a love of dancing, bringing people together and a felt duty to
continually share the legacy of black music in all its glory.

Alex Rita — the Denmark-born, London-based selector, illustrator, singer and designer — is
a talented seamstress in more ways than one. When not tailoring her own clothes, singing or
illustrating lifelike imagery, she patches together sets with soulful, percussive grooves and
organic sounds. Listeners can be blessed with everything from spiritual jazz, field recordings
and drum ensembles to deep house in one sitting; all aimed at the soul and the feet.
Along with Errol, Alex Rita is one of the main forces behind Touching Bass, curating and
leading one of London’s most exciting grassroots institutions. The last few years have seen
her play further afield, including two Australia/Japan tours in March 2018/2020 and
appearances at Dimensions (2016/2017), Worldwide (2018), Brainchild (2017/2018) and We
Out Here festivals. Add to that multiple appearances at cultural institutions including the ICA,
BFI (for the UK premiere of Black Panther) and TATE Britain/Modern.
Leo Gabriel
2015年よりDJとしての活動を開始。
現在、RED BARとbar bonoboにてレジデントを務めるパーティーを持つ。
尊敬する父でもある Raphael Sebbag にインスパイアされたジャズを軸に生音と打ち込み、
ジャンルやリズムフォーマットといった境界を自在に越えるプレイは、
さらなる新旧の音源の探求と時代への嗅覚によって独自の進化を続け、断絶されたリスナーの世代を再び繋ぐ可能性を持っている。
常にダンディなスーツに身を包みブースに立つ姿は父譲りかもしれない。
Mizuki
10代半ばに聴いたディープハウスをきっかけに、テクノやハウスに傾倒。その後まもなくしてDJもスタートする。
ハウスやテクノに特化してプレイするDJが決して多くはない10年代後半の東京で、
ハメ系テクノからパーカッシブなハウスまでイーブンキックを軸に実に幅広いトラックをセレクト、
フラットにミックスする様は新しい世代の台頭を感じさせてくれる
。ageHa,VISIONなど若者が集う週末のビッグパーティーへの出演はもちろん、
OATHやbar bonoboといった東京のアンダーグラウンドなベニューでも定期的にプレイ。
その場所で出会う幅広い音楽やカルチャーが、彼女をさらに深いイーヴンキックへの世界へと誘うだろう。
